Red Lion Inn invites everyone to experience their cozy and entertaining pub. It is conveniently located on the waterfront that provides a magnificent scenery of the Whanganui River.
You may rest on the deck while enjoying a glass of wine. The majestic view of the Waimarie steam up the river and sound of the water stream of the Whanganui River gives a total relaxing nature. These, sum up with the fine dining, gives a total waterfront dining experience that you won’t forget.
Red Lion can do anything. Not only a fine dining experience but also nightlife events, all types of functions, and even just a short coffee break, they can certainly provide it for you.
The Restaurant and Cafe
Aside from the relaxing nature views, they also boast of their delicious meals and hospitable service.
If you can’t last a day without sipping a cup of coffee, the café is open from 10 AM, Monday to Sunday. It also has an alfresco dining, wide range of New Zealand wines and craft beers. It is indeed a homey-feel café and restaurant through the calmly burning flame or terrace under the sun.
The Public Bar
Meet some new friends in the must-try Public Bar. Splash yourself in the pool while enjoying the beer from Mangatainoka and other drinks. This bar always has new drinks to try.
Is it possible to host an event through the restaurant?
Yes, it is. They have private clean function rooms available for different events. These rooms are available for meetings, private dining, and parties with good food and great service.
