Jolly Good Fellows – Bar in Taupo

Jolly Good Fellows is inspired by the British song of the same name. It is a good old English themed bar that has become an iconic trademark in Taupo. This local beauty is located on 80 Lake Terrace, Taupo, Central North Island, New Zealand. Though reservations are encouraged, walk-in and first come first serve basis are welcomed and catered with warmth.

They offer the widest selection of international beers and ales extending the natural Western-influenced taste buds of New Zealand.

This cosy place has simply the best views. It is overlooking the famous Lake Taupo and beautiful mountain ranges from virtually every table, bar, and stool. The pub’s bestseller is Speights.

The place is proud of giving excellent service to provide a dining experience “ought to remember”. It has a cosy, relaxed, and social environment where you can satisfy cravings and drink while watching the latest sport or simply listen to music. You can also have a conversation with the bar staff or just watch the world go by in a quiet chill setting. The place has changed its name a few times, such as Mad dogs, Englishmen, and The Dodgy Geezer. People who love to come out to Jolly Good Fellow are not just looking for a different variety of beers but also a refreshing ambience away from the usual Taupo’s main pub strip.
