Kerosene Creek is 35 minutes south of Rotorua. To get there follow the State Highway 5 South of Rotorua going to Taupo about 30 km. Then you will turn off to Murupara located at your left while Lake Ngahewa on your right. Turn left to Old Waiotapu Road. Carefully follow the gravel road for about 2.2 km or approximately 3 minutes. You will have a grass view on you right where you can park your vehicle. Then take a short walk down to the creek.
