Waiapu Kids St Matthew’s is located in the central business district of Hastings, Hawke’s Bay, sharing grounds with St Matthew’s Church and Primary School. We serve the community and participate in many different community events. Doing this provides a benefit where our teachers can access useful resources and information resulting in wider learning outcomes for the children. Waiapu Kids St Matthew’s provides quality care and support for children ages 0-5 years. Our rates include 20 hours of free ECE funding for up to 6 hours per day.  Kindly refer to the following rates depending on the age of your child:

Three years old and below:

• 6-hour days – $34 (daily rate) – $160 (weekly rate)
• 10-hour days – $47 (daily rate) – $210 (weekly rate)

Over three years:

• 6-hour days – Funded for the first 3 days then $30/day (daily rate) – $60 (weekly rate)
• 10-hour days – Funded for the first 3 days then $45/day (daily rate) – $140 (weekly rate)

They can use various materials such as books, puzzles, and blocks to improve intelligence and imagination.

We also offer an open kitchen safe for children where they can cook and bake treats, of course with our teachers’ supervision. In case they need to take a nap, we have provided a quiet and well-ventilated sleep room. Your children will also develop their self-reliance in going through our well-lit bathrooms.

Enrollment Fees

Here are the fees in enrolling at Royals Early Learning Centre:

• $30 enrollment
• 2-3 years: $7/hr
• 3-5 years: $7 /hr for hours exceeding 20 ECE hours
• For situations where you need to be away for 3 consecutive weeks or more, our holding fee is $30/week for your child’s space.
