Te Awa Winery is based in Hastings, built by the Lawson family in 1992.
Because of the philosophy of having balanced wines, you’ll thoroughly enjoy your experience and Te Awa Winery.
A big reason for this is we harvest vineyard separately into distinct areas. Consequently, this gives us small variations in texture and flavour and as a result, we have more flexibility when mixing.
We strive to bring a range of flavours together so they work in synergy. Even in our single range wines, we blend different components from different parts of the winery.As a result, we acquire the most complete and balanced wine.

STEPHEN TINDALL – Executive Chef & Hospitality Manager – His culinary talents were expertly crafted through years running both in New Zealand and internationally. His profession began with formal education at Auckland Institute of Technology (now AUT) and has gone from strength to strength.

LISA CHAMBERS – Assistant Hospitality Manager – Lisa Chambers joins Te Awa winery restaurant as the Assistant Hospitality manager on her return to Hawkes Bay after more than ten years of working abroad.
