History

The owner, Mohinder, first arrived in New Zealand from India in 1989. The success of his restaurants has surpassed his expectations. For numerous years, he spent long hours operating in orchards in the Bay of Plenty. In 1996, He opened a small café in Taranaki, serving meals to people of the freezing works and at night he would be driving a taxis.

After noticing a gap in the market for low-cost best Indian meals in Whanganui, he opened his first Indian Takeaway in December. Consequently, he modified his plan and opened a restaurant in and gave it the name, “Bollywood Stars Indian Tandoori Restaurant.”
