The Pepper Tree is a century old hostel with a villa that has plenty of space and high ceilings. Hosts Cherie and Dennis opened the hostel in 1991 where they also live on site. The town is just a 2-minute walk because of its good location in Palmerston North. Even though it is nearby the town there is still some area in the hostel that is secluded where the guest can relax and enjoy the sun with some peaceful silence. As can be seen in the entrance of Pepper Tree a path of green boots up is leading to the front door. Moreover, the artworks of the owner are on display all throughout the hostel.
