HISTORY OF THE HAMURANA LODGE
In the mid 1980’s local Gary Wood purchased 50 acres from our neighboring deer farmer. The lodge it became known locally as ‘Woodlands’.
In the mid 1990’s the property was purchased by a partnership of three local couples and converted into a tourist lodge.
It was at this time the name was changed to Hamurana Country Estate.
In September 2002 Kim & Andrew Martin purchased the Lodge at which time it was once again being used as a private residence.
In March 2009, the lodge was purchased again and full renovations started again.
