Honey Comb is located on the corner of Pukuatua and Tutanekai Street in central Rotorua. You don’t need to book when you a getting a Haircut, although we can be busy so best to ring in advance. In 2005, Michelle trained at Elite Beauty School which is based in Auckland. From there she opened up a successful salon in Milford, Auckland named Beautyspot. Being at the forefront of her trade she introduced Lilash and Librow to the NZ market in 2009. If that was not enough she started her own range of beauty products called Avante.
A passion of Michelle’s is to minimise the signs of ageing on all her clients. Furthermore, Cathy and Sarah developed a comfortable, diverse environment at Honeycomb. It simply is about providing good hair and I add beauty therapy to an already relaxed but fun salon.
CATHY BARKER

In Melbourne, Cathy completed her 4-year Apprenticeship working at the prestigious Smithers, Godfrey & Taylor Hair Salons. A career that has exceeded 30 years has allowed her to gain a deep understanding of the industry. Cathy worked as a stylist for Chadwick Model Australia, Where she was successful in creating “a look” for models sourcing clothing.
A stint of Interior Design added further strings to her bow developing her appreciation of colour, space, shape. Cathy always returned to her passion, hairdressing. Once she spotted the current location of Honey Comb there was no looking back. She is proud of the environment that provides Hair Style’s that are tailored to clients needs. Finally, Cathy’s understanding of style vs affordability vs manageability is crucial to the success of Honey Comb
SARAH PEARSON
HAIRDRESSER
Since she could brush her hair, Sarah is completely passionate about hair. Trained in London, she has experienced a variety of salon environments honing her skills from the best of the best. Creating Honey Comb with Cathy has been a labour of love and a place I am extremely proud of.
I love Rotorua and its diverse community and it’s this love that has allowed me to build a strong client base whom I love to serve. It’s easy to make a guarantee that when you come to Honey Comb you will walk out feeling empowered as well as a hairstyle to be proud of.

My sister-in-law won a pamper package (I think that is what is was) of sorts, online, and she gifted it to my wife (her sister). My wife (Melissa) will have her hair done ONCE a year, as with 3 young kids, finances are always tight. This was a treat! The Team at Honey Comb were amazing and I do not think our young daughter recognised her mum, when she came home. Thank you for making my wife feel on top of the world, and for sending her home looking absolutely amazing!
